When I was little, my mother and father would send my brother, sister and I upstairs to go to bed. Once we were asleep they would enjoy their pizza and watch the original Star Trek on television. Growing up I always watched Star Trek TOS as reruns. I became a geek at a very early age. My dad would always take me to see the latest science fiction movie. When I was about 9 or 10, my brother and I went to see Star Wars the week it came out. As the titles rolled, the film broke. We got our money back, but we were two disappointed little boys. That weekend my dad took us to go see it. Over the years I watched a lot of sci fi with my father. One of my fondest memories is having gone to see Blade Runner in the theater with him.
I now have a son of my own. I have worked very hard to make sure that he is exposed to science fiction and all of the joys it can bring. This site is dedicated to my adventures with him as he grows up.
